At the suggestion of some of our clients, McAlpine Consulting is now offering Pay per Question Consultation.

You may find this service useful to your organization because:

  • You would like an outside opinion, but do not want to go through a lengthy hiring process for a consultant.
  • You or your organization are dealing with an issue you have never dealt with before and would like some outside help without paying a large retainer for a consultant.
  • The issue is relatively straightforward, but you or your organization do not have the time or resources to do the research needed.

Examples of questions that could be handled via pay per question consultation might include but are not limited to:

Organizational Development

  • What are the steps involved in brainstorming a strategic plan?
  • As a non-profit in financial trouble, what are the first steps I should take to revise our financial management?
  • What strategies should my organization use to energize board members and get them more involved?
  • We need to do a job search but can’t hire a big search firm - what is the structure for a job search and how do we find out about comparable salaries in our field?

Leadership Coaching

  • What should I include in a contractual agreement with a consultant?
  • What are some guidelines for a supervision model for organizations with 15 or fewer staff members? With 30 staff members? With more than 30 staff members?
  • What does an agenda for an efficient meeting look like?

Email or call us with your question. We’ll send you a free estimate of the time required to answer it. Our hourly rates are $75/hour by email or $125/hour by phone or in person. Our minimum billing is for 30 minutes, which may be spread out over several emails or phone calls.
